According to legend of originate from the ancient state of Chu because of not giving up virtuous Jensen Qu Yuan into the river dead, many people rowed the boat to save. When they got to the Dongting Lake, they do not see the sign. As a result, people paddled the Dragon boat on the fifth day of fifth lunar month in memory. Scatter the taking advantage of the Dragon Boat stroke the fish, in order to avoid the fish to eat Qu Yuan's body. The habit of boat race was prevalent in ancient state of Wu, Yue and Chu.
