westmoreland/FvTLBAKph：Dragon-boat Race is the main custom of The Dragon-boat Festival.According to history,it originates in people lived in the state of Chu did not want patriotic poet and loyal minister Qu Yuan die of drowning himself in the river and raced the boats to run after him in order to save him.They rushed to the fore,ran after him to Dongting Lake,but still did not find his trace.In order to commemorate Que Yuan,people race the Dragon-boat at every years' fifth day of the fifth lunar month since then.People want to disperse the fishes and aviod that the fishes eat Que Yuan's body by racing the Dragon-boat.So,the custom of racing the Dragon-boat become popular in The state of Wu,Yue and Chu.
